A Called People
Today's devotion is based on Psalm 47:1," Clap your hands, all you nations; shout to God with cries of joy,"
The children of Israel were called to be God's chosen people. Their purpose was to be 'priests to the nations.' The Israelites had this call to be a blessing, and now those who are spiritually joined to Israel by the blood of Jesus are sent with this message to the nations, 'All peoples on earth will be blessed through you.' The kingdom of God is near – Jesus is Lord! God reigns over the nations.
Please pray with me: Lord Jesus, we live in a time when the nations are coming to us like never before, and many of them are yet to hear about you. Help us to engage them with love and show them how to come close to you. Amen.
