Today’s devotion is based on Ephesians 1:18-19, “I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.” I hope that you are missing worshiping your Lord in the fellowship of other believers. It is hard to maintain one’s faith in God without a weekly worship service; that is why we attend our local congregation’s worship services. I hope your faith has stayed strong as you depended more on prayer, reading, meditation, and one-on-one contact with God. I hope that this time of absence has been a time of renewal of your faith in God. Please pray with me the prayer for today: Heavenly Father, creator, and sustainer of all things, seen and unseen, bring your life-giving words, songs that lift my spirits, favorite psalms, and mostly, your presence to my being during this time of absence from corporate worship. In Jesus’ saving name, I pray. Amen
