3-9-21
Today’s devotion is based today on Ephesians 4: 32—“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” I read an article recently on bullying. Bullying is using fear to intimidate the weak. While none of us would probably consider ourselves to be a bully, I think we might each, to some extent, bullied someone. We might have done it as a boss, a parent, a son, or a daughter. How often have you used your position of power or influence to intimate someone to do what you want? If you have, and I think we all have to some extent, it is time to repent and change our ways. God is kind and forgiving. He will, through his Word, give you the ability to be kind and compassionate to people. Please pray with me the prayer for today: Heavenly Father, creator, and sustainer of all things, seen and unseen; I come before you today, confessing my sins. Please forgive me for my bad behavior to those I have bullied in some way, whether I did it intentionally or not. Please help me to live my life as you desire so that your love will be seen in me. In Jesus’ holy name, I pray. Amen.
