4-23-21
Since we are still celebrating our Savior rising from the dead, I have chosen John 11:40, where we hear Jesus tell Martha when she objected to the stone sealing the grave of Lazarus, Did I not tell you that if you believed you would see the glory of God.” After Jesus called Lazarus to come out, she and everyone else that was there that day saw the glory of God. We, who believe, will have to wait to see God’s glory. Our sight of God’s glory will be more spectacular than bringing Lazarus back to life, for he will die again. Our sight of God’s glory will be at the time of the Resurrection, for in the Resurrection, we, who believe, will begin a new life in the glory of God as we live in the new creation, never to die. Please pray with me the prayer for today: God, O my God, my creator, my sustainer, my Savior I know that because of Jesus’ resurrection, I too will be resurrected to a new life of seeing the glory of God. In Jesus’ holy name, we pray. Amen
