Today’s devotion is based on Psalm 145:13, “The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.”
The writer of the psalm invites us to join with him as he praises the Lord God. Satan wants us to forget how great is our God! He wants us to focus on our problems and worries. But our God is trustworthy! Our God is faithful! Our God is compassionate! We have seen his compassion, his faithfulness, his trustworthiness. He is a God who keeps his promises. He is a God who not only helps us when we turn to him but also helps us to turn to him in the first place.
Please pray with me the prayer for today: Heavenly Father, gracious God, creator and sustainer of all things, seen and unseen; worthy are you to be praised. I realize that I am only aware of a small portion of the blessings you give me every day. May your Holy Spirit make me more aware of who you are, and may he enable me to praise you more and more. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
