Today's devotion for today is based on Paul's second letter to Timothy. "The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack." Ever feel like you're about to jump into something that you're not sure how you're going to get out of? God doesn't promise a life free from trouble or evil. But he promises to be there with the life-saving message of his Word. No matter how deep the trouble is, our Savior stands ready to pull you out. What turbulent time are you in right now? Look to the cross and empty tomb. Cling to the promises they hold for you; promises of sins forgiven and life eternal. Those are not empty promises. The Lord will rescue you from every evil attack. Please pray with me the prayer for today: Heavenly Father, creator, and sustainer of all things, seen and unseen, help me to live in such a way that always sees the promise of your deliverance. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
