Jesus’ disciples thought that he was going to establish his throne in Jerusalem. When Jesus said, “'The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit.” they were shocked and disheartened, but later after the His resurrection they understood what he meant. We too must understand His words, for it is only through His perfect life, death, and resurrection that God opened wide the gates of heaven. The time of Lent is a good time for us as individuals to stop and examine our attitudes toward our lives, as well as our willingness to put our trust in Jesus so that we will receive the eternal life he has won for us. Please pray with me: Heavenly Father, thank You for offering us eternal life through Your Son Jesus Christ. Help us all to keep our lives eternally in Your Light. In Jesus' Name, I pray. Amen.
