Today's devotion is based on Psalm 98:1, "Oh sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things!”

It is hard not to read this psalm and not feel the people's joy as they sang it on their way to the temple. Their joy has become our joy. Their hope, our hope. They encourage us as we live our lives today, for we share their experiences.

Please pray with me: Merciful God, thank you for your love, faithfulness, and joy for it brings joy, hope, and peace to our lives.  Please encourage our hearts in our journey with you. In the name of Christ, I pray, Amen.
