My neighbor

Today my daily devotion is based on Romans 12:19, “Love one another with brotherly affection.”
Everything we realize helps us so much, such as someone offering a helping hand, a kind word, a little attention, silent understanding in sorrow, and enthusiastic participation in times of joy. It is things like that that we should do for our neighbors. Love is an action word shown in deeds. Thus, love for our neighbor needs to be apparent and not just talked about. 
Please pray with me the prayer for today: Help me, Jesus, to see through your eyes my neighbor who you have put in front of me.  Help me be the kind of neighbor you want me to be, even when my first thoughts are not on my neighbor but myself.  You gave it all for me. Please help me to give some to others. In your holy name, I pray. Amen.
