Today’s devotion is based on Romans 11:33, “Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways.” Last Sunday was Holy Trinity Sunday. We know the Holy Trinity because God has revealed himself to us in that manner. He is the Father, our creator; he is Son, our Savior; and he is the Holy Spirit, who works in God’s Church and our hearts. Throughout the Bible, we see the work of the Holy Trinity, sometimes so clear that we can say with certainty, “ Here is the Father at work, or here is the Son at work, or this is the work of the Holy Spirit.” There are a couple of instances where all three persons of God are spoken of at the same time. The Trinity is a mystery, never to be understood on this earth. The important thing is not that we know how God can be all three persons at the same time, but that we are open to meeting and accepting him as he reveals himself to us. Please pray with me the prayer for today: Heavenly Father, creator, and sustainer of all things, seen and unseen, in your unlimited mercy, you have created me to be able to meet you as you have shown yourself in the Bible. Thank you for that so that I can worship you, my heavenly Father, my Savior, and my helper, as the way to heavenly bliss. I pray this in the name of the Holy Trinity, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen
