Today’s devotion is based on John 14:18-21. (Jesus said) “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Yet a little while and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live. In that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you. Whoever has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” We are not alone as the Bible verses for today tell us. Jesus is with us, is even in us. That is not just a figure of speech. He is in all who believe in him. It doesn’t matter if we ourselves are afraid and feel inadequate; Jesus is not. When we are in need, he will, according to his promise, make His presence known. Please pray with me the prayer for today: Heavenly Father, creator, and sustainer of all things, seen and unseen, remind us daily through your Word that we are never alone in this world. We have Jesus, and he is all we need. In the name of Jesus, I pray. Amen.
