Today’s devotion is based on Ephesians 6:11-13. “Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.” Jesus tells us that taking up the whole armor of God will give us peace, his peace. The peace that Jesus offers is an indescribable, lasting state of wellbeing and spiritual connection that allows you to thrive amid today’s circumstances as you walk in step with Jesus. Overflowing with peace, trust, and thankfulness, fearlessly live your life as you look forward to tomorrow. Please pray with me the prayer for today: Heavenly Father, gracious God, creator and sustainer of all things, seen and unseen, thank you for giving me peace through Jesus. Help me to remember that in the troubled times of life, so that I will show your glory to those around me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
