3-8-21
Today’s devotion is based today on John 12:42-43, “Nevertheless, many even of the authorities believed in him, but for fear of the Pharisees they did not confess it, so that they would not be put out of the synagogue; for they loved the glory that comes from man more than the glory that comes from God.” Today, I want to strongly encourage you, if it is a problem in your life, to give up living your life to please people and starting living to “please God” in all your ways. The problem with living your life trying to please people is that they will let you down sooner or later. God, on the other hand, will never let you down. He will never abandon you. He will never throw you under the bus or do any other things that people can do to you. When you live your life for God, you will find your life is less stressful. That is good news. Please pray with me the prayer for today: Heavenly Father, creator, and sustainer of all things, seen and unseen; help me to remember when I find myself living my life trying to please others that I am not putting you first in my life. In Jesus’ holy name, I pray. Amen.
