10-14-22
Today's devotion is based on 2 Corinthians 9:10,11. "Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness. You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us, your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God." There is great power in the simplest acts of generosity. Paul reminds us that the motivation for this giving doesn't come from compulsion but rather through the confession of the gospel—the good news that our sins are forgiven in Jesus. God has given us generously, so we are to give generously to others. Please pray with me; Lord, please keep in my mind how generous you have been to me so that I will be generous with my time and money to others in need. In your blessed name, I pray. Amen. Amen.
