Holy Spirit intercedes for you
Today's devotion is based on John 17:17, "Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth."
The verse I chose for today is part of what is called 'Jesus' high priestly prayer' in John's Gospel. Jesus intercedes for his followers and the coming church. Jesus continues to intercede for us through the Holy Spirit because the Spirit intercedes for God's people in accordance with God's will.
We are so blessed by this intercession, for if God is on our side, nothing and nobody can stand between us or separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. We do well to cling to Jesus because he has the words of eternal life.
Please pray with me:  Dearest Jesus, help me by your Holy Spirit to cling to you, the Way, the Truth, and the Life, at all times. Amen.
