Today’s devotion for today is based on Isaiah 2:5, “Come, descendants of Jacob, let us walk in the light of the Lord.” While we await Jesus coming in glory and fixing all things, we are urged to learn the Lord’s ways and walk in the light of the Lord. Living in the moment like never before, this year we will all need to learn to ‘enjoy what we can see, and not complain about what remains in the dark.’ The plans we make will be cancelled. Steps we didn’t know we could take may suddenly be our very next move. Rather than find this daunting, let’s enjoy the people around us, slow down, plan less, get to know others better, and allow God’s light to shine as he uses us to reflect his light on those who might still be walking in the darkness. Please pray with me the prayer for today: Heavenly Father, creator and sustainer of all things, seen and unseen, Until the end of time comes, guide our steps with your true light. We ask you to continue to guide us, whatever the terrain and however fast or slow it turns out to be. Please help us to reflect your light in a darkened world so that others may join us in being the light. In Jesus' holy name, I pray. Amen.
