Today's devotion is based on Matthew 6:25, "Do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?" Jesus does not mean that we shouldn't think about or plan for the future. He means that we don't have to worry/be anxious about the future, for we are not alone. He alone knows what is best for us. He is the one that gives us life and body to live as his children. There are always problems at home; the household budget, health, and numerous small and big conflicts in life. We can't avoid them; at least most of the time, we can't avoid them. We can handle them the same way Mary and the disciples did by trusting in Jesus to provide and care for them in all the different circumstances of life. That my dear brothers and sisters in the faith is living the life Jesus desires us to live. Please pray with me, Dear Jesus, I come to you now to lay the problems that cause me to be anxious at your feet. Please help me remember your promises when I am weak, for there is nothing you don't understand and have under your control. Thank you for choosing me to be one of your blessed children. In Jesus' name, I pry. Amen.
